Standard Operating Procedures for Uganda Tourism
Uganda has began to develop Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs) to assist the reopening of Travel and Tourism in Uganda. The Standard Operating Procedures are an important step in ensuring that the entire Travel and Tourism sector in Uganda is on the same page when in comes to the health and safety of all the people who work in this sector, of all domestic and international clients as the wider public within Uganda.
Currently there are two sets of SOPs one for Tour Operators and one for Hotels and Lodges. Both sets of SOPs have been developed using guidelines from the World Health Organisation, The Ministry of Health in Uganda, The Ministry of Tourism Wildlife & Antiquities in Uganda, The Uganda Tourism Board and the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
We are expecting two further sets of SOPs one from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority which prescribing what measures will be put in place for passenger traffic at all of Uganda Airports and a further set of SOPs from the Uganda Wildlife Authority detailing what precautions need to be taken when Uganda’s National Parks that do Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking ( Primate Parks )
At Let’s Go Travel we will ensure that all of our safaris are conducted in accordance with the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to your specific safari to ensure that all clients feel safe and happy enough to enjoy your safari.
